New Teacher Spotlight graphic for Ms. Kirkland, Biology Teacher at Bainbridge High School. The design features purple and gray camo background with a photo of Ms. Kirkland smiling. Text highlights that she is from Bainbridge, Georgia, enjoys reading, traveling, and planning travel for others, and loves that Bainbridge has no traffic, familiar faces, and is close to family. A fun fact notes she was on the BHS Danceline. The Bainbridge Bearcats logo appears in the bottom corner.

September is recognized as Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month, a time dedicated to breaking the stigma around mental health and reminding students that help and hope are always available. Throughout the month, our team worked to provide resources, education, and open conversations to support students in prioritizing their mental well-being.

We concluded the month with a meaningful close-out event that not only connected students with important resources but also strengthened relationships between students and their school counselors. By showing up in their space, we reminded them that they are not alone and that support is available during both the difficult and the brighter moments of life.
