The BHS Band is thrilled to announce that our students will have the opportunity to collaborate with world-class musicians in preparation for the Georgia Bandmasters Association Concert Band Festival on February 24th. Thanks to the partnership with the Decatur County Schools Foundation Grant committee, this invaluable experience is made possible. Our alumni have greatly benefited from music scholarships, opening numerous pathways for their college education. "I am excited about the opportunity for our students to work with world-class musicians and educators. These individuals bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of music education," said Will Parker.
Our esteemed clinicians include Dr. Demetrius Scott, former Band Director from Moody, Alabama; Dr. Devan Moore, Assistant Director of Athletic Bands at Florida State University; and Dr. Jack Eaddy, Associate Director of Bands at the University of Georgia. These experts will conduct intensive workshops, provide personalized coaching, and lead ensemble rehearsals to ensure our students are well-prepared for the festival.
