💜💛 Happy Retired Educators’ Day! 💜💛
The influence of an educator extends far beyond the classroom and lasts long after the final bell rings. Great educators do more than teach lessons; they inspire dreams, build confidence, shape character, and leave a lasting impact on generations of students.
Today, Decatur County Schools proudly honors our retired educators whose dedication, passion, and commitment have helped shape not only the lives of their students but also the future of our community.
While your years in the classroom may have ended, your influence never retires. The lessons you taught, the encouragement you gave, and the lives you touched continue to make a difference every day.
Thank you for the legacy you have built and the countless ways you have made a difference. Once a Bearcat, always a Bearcat! 🐾

At Decatur County Schools, the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain a top priority.
Through the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System, a program developed by Sandy Hook Promise, students are encouraged to recognize warning signs, speak up, and look out for one another.
Sandy Hook Promise is a national nonprofit organization founded by family members who lost loved ones in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy. The organization works to prevent violence and protect students through education and awareness.
The Say Something program teaches students three important steps:
▪️Recognize Warning Signs: Be aware when someone may be at risk of harming themselves or others.
▪️Take It Seriously: Understand the importance of acting quickly when warning signs appear.
▪️Say Something: Report concerns to a trusted adult or through the Anonymous Reporting System.
How Can Students Submit a Report?
Every Decatur County Schools website features a Say Something Anonymous Reporting button, making it easy for students to report concerns. Students can also access the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System app to submit tips directly from their mobile devices.
By encouraging students to speak up and support one another, we can work together to create a safer school community.
Together, we can make a difference.
