

Anniston Willis finished 1st overall in the girls varsity 5k.
Joseph Frank finished 19th overall in the boys varsity 5k.
Anabel Dempsey finished 6th overall in the Middle School girls 3k
Alanya McLendon finished 19th in the Middle School girls 3k.
Reed Zorn finished 14th in the Middle School boys 3k
As a team, the High School boys finished 5th out of 15 teams. The Middle school girls finished 7th out of 10 teams. The Middle School boys finished 10th out of 14 teams.
This was a great start to the season for the runners. They look forward to improving every week! Go Bearcats

Pre-K – 8th Grade Students: Must be accompanied and supervised by an adult (18+) to enter events. Unaccompanied students will not be admitted.
Grades 9–12 Students: Permitted to attend all events under the supervision of school administrators and game managers.

Are you exploring your options for after high school? The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is coming up on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 8:00 AM.
Key Details:
What is it? A free career exploration tool that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success. Taking the test does NOT obligate you to join the military or talk to recruiters.
Who can take it? Open to students in grades 10–12 (Seniors get priority if seats fill up).
Requirements: Testing starts promptly at 8:00 AM (arrive by 7:45 AM). You must bring a fully charged Chromebook.

Hutto Elementary School Band:
Our 5th grade band students were so excited to receive their instruments today!! They began learning how to put them together and begin making sounds! These students are already up to a great start! These future "Pride of Decatur County" students are going to do amazing this year!! Great job, Mrs Parker! We are looking forward to watching your students grow this year!!
