Are you exploring your options for after high school? The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is coming up on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 8:00 AM.
Key Details:
What is it? A free career exploration tool that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success. Taking the test does NOT obligate you to join the military or talk to recruiters.
Who can take it? Open to students in grades 10–12 (Seniors get priority if seats fill up).
Requirements: Testing starts promptly at 8:00 AM (arrive by 7:45 AM). You must bring a fully charged Chromebook.

A fun fact about Ms.DuBose is that she was once bitten by a water moccasin and received antivenin treatment at the hospital! We're excited to have her on our team and look forward to the support and encouragement she'll provide to our students this school year!

Our 5th grade band students were so excited to receive their instruments today!! They began learning how to put them together and begin making sounds! These students are already up to a great start! We have had a great first two weeks at BHS! I want to thank our parents and guardians for their support with dress code and cell phone expectations. Your help makes a difference and allows us to keep the focus on teaching and learning.
It has been great to walk through our classrooms and see students engaged and learning every day. This would not be possible without the support of our parents and guardians and the hard work of our great Bearcat teachers and staff.
Our fall sports are also off to a great start, and it is an exciting time in our school and community. I encourage everyone to come out and support our students at their games, matches, and other extracurricular events.
