Where Our Story Began
One year ago, we spent a day at GRITS shadowing pit crews, with no robot and no team number yet. Today we're competing alongside 43 other teams, and many of them lent us a hand, a tool, or a kind word.
Thank you, GRITS teams, for welcoming us then and now. For teaching us what it means to have GRIT and for continuing to show up for one another in the PITS, in the STANDS, and on the FIELD.

This Is What Robotics Kids Do Instead of Lunch!
While most people were eating, our programmers were hard at work. Gino from Team 832 OSCAR in Roswell gave up his entire lunch break to teach our team how to use PathPlanner for autonomous coding.
Gunnar and Kathy were locked in, learning the programming environment and why autonomous routines need to be modular, built from small pieces that can be changed and reused.
They also learned why clear naming and good documentation matter, so anyone on the team can read, trust, and improve the code.
That’s the heart of FIRST: teams sharing what they know so everyone gets better. Thank you, TEAM OSCAR, for lifting us up!

10/8/2026 Decatur County Schools Special Weather Statement (Update 6:30 pm)
ALL DECATUR COUNTY SCHOOLS WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2026.
Due to rapid intensification and the uncertainty of the final path of Hurricane Isaias, Decatur County Schools will be closed on Friday, October 9, 2026.
Faculty and Staff will report back to work on Monday, October 12, 2026. Students will return on Monday, October 19, 2026.
