If you can dream it, [cy]BEARCATS #11214 designer, Joel, can model it. As our team’s CAD and 3D-printing lead, a key build team member, drive team operator and coder...Joel spends his time turning complex ideas into tangible reality—one layer at a time.

Joel says, "Because of the FIRST robotics program, I no longer look at the world's problems as someone else's responsibility. I now have the skills, the network, and the drive to be the solution."

Joel understands that the real "modeling" happens outside the software. FIRST Robotics has shifted his perspective from being a spectator to being a strategist. He has realized that the same logic used to solve a mechanical failure on a robot can be used to tackle the challenges facing our world.

To all the designers of FIRST we see you proving that when you have the right tools and the right mindset, no problem is "someone else's responsibility." Keep designing the future!

📝 EOG (Grades 3–8): April 20–24
📝 EOC (Grades 9–12): May 4–8

To help our students do their very best:
✅ Make sure they are at school on time each day
✅ Encourage a good night’s sleep
✅ Schedule appointments after 12:00 PM when possible

Meet Aydan. He’s the one with the constant smile, inspiring others to join in the FIRST program and making everyone feel like they are an integral part of our [cy]BEARCATS 11214 robotics team.

Aydan says, ""FIRST took me from overthinking every bolt to realizing that through the chaos, challenge, and discovery, I can engineer real solutions—and a version of myself I finally have the confidence to believe in."

For Aydan, FRC isn’t just about the mechanics; it’s about the mentality. He’s learned that the "chaos" of a build season isn't something to fear—it’s where the best versions of ourselves are discovered.

Students in Mrs. McDonald's Environmental Science classes modeled different scenarios to determine the impact that increased energy use would have on global renewable and nonrenewable energy resources.

The Anchor Club's pilau fundraiser was a great success. Thanks to everyone who purchased tickets.

Let us help with your dinner. The Anchor Club has extra pilau plates for $12 (chicken pilau, cole slaw, pickles, bread and homemade pound cake). We're behind the BHS cafeteria until 6:00.

The [cy]BEARCATS #11214 have officially landed in Macon, Georgia! After getting our pit dropped off, we took a detour to PinStrikes for some serious team bonding and a very special celebration.

To celebrate the man who keeps our gears turning, the team pooled our piles of hard earned arcade tickets to get Mr. Kelley the ultimate birthday haul. --at least the best we could get in the arcarde...talk about collaboration!

Who knew the shop wasn’t the only place we shined?
Bowling Pro: Michael shocked us all with some absolute heater frames—look out, PBA!
Boxing Champs: We spent the night trying to top the leader board on the boxing game, playing until they practically actually turned the lights out! (or maybe we were just that good?)
Groove Central: Between the strikes, we were busy dancing to the music and catching up with our friends from Team Lambda 9477.
