The BHS Basketball Cheerleaders participated in an exciting week of Cheer Camp with Coach Dee Perkins from July 6-10, 2026.
The BHS Basketball Cheer Booster Club and Coach Dee proudly hosted the 2026 Basketball Cheer Youth Mini Camp on June 24-26, 2026, welcoming enthusiastic campers ages 4-13. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone for making this a memorable experience.

This is not just a school musical—we are auditioning for an acting competition, and we are looking to build a strong, committed competition cast. Join us Friday 7/31 from 9am - Noon. Students must sign up for a time slot. Auditions will be held in the PAC.
Come into your audition ready to make bold choices and show us what makes YOU unusual. We aren’t looking for perfection—we are looking for performers who are willing to take direction, try something new, and fully commit. Because this is a One Act competition production, students must remain in good academic standing to participate.
Please also seriously consider your availability before auditioning. Rehearsals are held after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:00–4:30 PM. We are looking for approximately 20 committed performers ready to work, grow, and create something wonderfully strange together.

Welcome to the family!
The Future Bearcat Baseball Camp was held July 6–8 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and provided young athletes with three days of skill development, instruction, and fun. Campers focused on the fundamentals of baseball, including ground balls, fly balls, double plays, proper fielding mechanics, bunting, hitting, and baserunning. Throughout the camp, players worked hard to improve their skills while building confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game. It was a great opportunity for campers to learn from the Bearcat coaching staff and players in a positive and encouraging environment.
Date Change to BHS Band Family and Friends night
We are going to collaborate with the athletic department and will be showcasing our 2026 halftime show on at BHS Fan Night on July 31st at Centennial Field! Come out and support our athletes , cheerleaders, band, ROTC and other organizations. This is surely going to be a great time!!

Online registration for the 2026-2027 school year will be open June 9 through July 9.
Need help completing your student's online registration? Assistance will be available every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during this registration period at the following locations:

🏫 Decatur County Board of Education (DCBOE) – Elementary and Primary students (HES, JWP, and WBP)
