Welcome to the Decatur County Band Program Website. We hope that you will find everything that you are looking for. The Band program has a rich history of superior performances over the last 37 years, and will continue to many years to come. Again, welcome!

The Decatur County Band Program is a traditional band program serving grades five through twelve at Hutto Middle School, Bainbridge Middle School, and Bainbridge High School.  Our Current enrollment is approximately 550 students.  The overall student enrollment at these three schools is approximately 2700 students.

Our middle school programs consist of the 6th Grade Beginning Band, 7th Grade Intermediate Band, 8th Grade Advanced Band.

Our high school program consists of Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, and Jazz Band. 

The Decatur County Band Program has maintained high standards of excellence through years of continuous dedication by the students, directors, parents and school administration.

Our band staff currently consists of three band directors, two auxiliary sponsors, one limited time woodwind instructor, and one limited time percussion instructor.

In light of this commitment to superior quality, the Bainbridge High School Band has been officially recognized and commended by the Governor of the State of Georgia on eleven occasions.  The band has also received commendations from the Georgia State Legislature, the City of Bainbridge, and the Decatur County Board of Education. 

The marching band is a traditional style unit consisting of approximately 220 students and has participated in many different forms of competition throughout the Southeast.  Receiving Superior ratings at competitions and festivals has become the norm for the Marching ‘Bearcats’.   The band has also performed as an exhibition band at many marching contest and festivals in Alabama and Georgia as well.

The Bainbridge High School Marching, Symphonic, and Concert Bands have consistently received superior ratings for 34 consecutive years in regional, state, and national competitions.

Our middle school programs have consistently received superior and excellent ratings for the 33 consecutive years.

All of our bands perform for many school and community events annually.
